internship – user experience design – sketching – prototyping
During my bachelorstudies Communication and Multimedia Design, I did an internship at Clockwork based in Amsterdam. Clockwork is a digital engagement agency of Ordina, located in Groningen, Nieuwgein and Amsterdam. I was part of the creative team in Amsterdam that included UX designers, UX researchers and Visual Designers. Clockwork stands for helping organisations being let into the lives of people (again) by making digital products and services. I had the time of my life at this agency, I learned a lot about the ‘real’ working life and loved making products for and with clients. The following project showcases some of my learnings.
Design challenge
How can we improve the Heineken beer-menucardmodule by making it more interactive and advanced?
The product
An interactive prototype
Research methods
Interviews
Hands-on session with real users
Ideation sessions
Prototyping
Biggest learning
Got to do a product presentation session of our prototype in front of the Heineken board
Summary
Heineken is one of the biggest breweries worldwide, but next to the beer they do a lot more. In this project we had the opportunity to have a look at the beer menucards that you can find in cafeteria. These menucards are made by a Heineken salesman together with the cafeteria owner. The system where the cards used to be made with was very outdated, so that gave us the challenge to improve.
